If you come at the appointed time, you only need to provide your consent forms and details on site, and we will be done in about 15 minutes. 

In all cases, it is advisable to book by telephone or online to avoid unnecessary waiting times.

We work with state-of-the-art equipment, which means that radiation is minimal and well below the limit. The equipment is regularly maintained and inspected. There is nothing to worry about, and we also provide protective clothing.

Modern dental X-ray equipment (such as Vatech Smart + CBCT) is the most lowest radiation dose work, minimising radiation exposure to patients.

The radiation dose from a modern digital panoramic X-ray is extremely low, often less than what we are exposed to from natural background radiation during a transatlantic flight. The radiation dose from a CBCT scan is higher than that from a panoramic X-ray, but even this is much lower than that from a medical CT scan. 

You will not feel anything during the imaging process, which takes approximately 30 seconds at most.

If you have metal braces, a retention arch or implants, X-rays can be taken without any problems. If you are wearing earrings or metal jewellery, it is advisable to remove them during the X-ray, as they may interfere with the imaging, but this will not cause any problems.

Difference:

• Panoramic X-ray (2D): A single image that depicts the entire dentition, jaw and part of the paranasal sinuses in two dimensions (flat). It provides a comprehensive picture of the general condition, ideal for screening examinations and identifying fundamental problems.

• CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography, 3D): Cone beam CT, which produces high-resolution, three-dimensional (3D) images of the examined area. It also shows details that remain hidden in 2D images (e.g. nerve pathways, bone thickness, root canals).

A full X-ray (also known as cephalometric radiography) is a specialised, standardised skull X-ray that shows the relationship between the facial bones, jawbones and teeth in a single plane.

This recording is from orthodontic treatment basis for precise planning. It enables the orthodontist to:

• Accurately measure the proportions of bone and soft tissue.

• Calculates the direction and extent of planned tooth movements.

• Determines the length of treatment and the most suitable type of device.

Yes, before taking dental X-rays (panoramic, CBCT, teleradiography) you can eat and drink. The examination does not require any special preparation.

However, please note that arrive on time, Please remove any metal objects that may interfere with the recording (necklaces, earrings, piercings, removable dentures) before the examination, but our colleagues will be happy to help you decide what to remove and what can remain during the recording.

In urgent cases, same-day examinations are also possible if your referring doctor considers it necessary.
