Is SmileView really free?
Invisalign® SmileView™ is truly free and requires nothing from you, just a selfie.
How painful is Invisalign treatment?
Invisible braces are usually painless. There may be some slight discomfort or pressure after the splint change, but this is short-lived.
The trays are flexible and smooth, so they do not irritate the gums or lips, and we pay maximum attention to the comfort of our patients during treatment.
What happens after treatment?
After the treatment, you will need to wear a retention appliance to prevent your teeth from returning to their original position.
This is usually a removable rail that you need to use at night.
In addition, depending on the individual, a metal wire fixed to the inside of the front teeth may be recommended.
You may need to wear these devices for several years to maintain the results achieved.
The Doctor may also recommend that you have a speech therapy session to help you stay healthy and learn correct speech and language.
Does wearing a splint affect my speech?
Initially, the braces may interfere slightly with speech, but this usually disappears after a short time as the tongue gets used to the new position. To speed up the process, we recommend that you practise reading aloud at home for the first week.
Can I wear invisible braces if I have a metal allergy?
Of course! One of the great advantages of Invisalign invisible braces is that they are metal-free in 100 %, so they won't cause an allergic reaction.
There are rarely metal additives to the treatment and there are metal-free alternatives.
